Friends are crazy funny and nice
Reuniting with them is my favourite thing to do.
Enthusiasm to play every day
Never have we ever pranked each other
Every day.
Decode the code which makes us happy
Seeing them every day makes me happy.
Hilarious, hearty and so much more,
Incomparable, incredible… that’s their quality.
Pill for my sorrow,
As precious as a pearl,
They are my friends,
That’s why I adore them the most.

I am a 14-year-old boy. I often don’t do the things that boys my age would usually do. I don’t like to play or watch sports; I instead prefer to read. I have a small group of friends that I am very happy with. Is it normal to not have a taste like the other boys I know?
A.I. (14)

Yes, it is completely normal to have different interests from other boys of your age. Everyone is unique, and it’s perfectly fine to have your own preferences and hobbies. Each person has their own likes and dislikes. It’s great that you enjoy reading and have a small group of friends you are happy with. Not everyone has to enjoy the same activities. Some people love sports, while others prefer reading, art, music, or other hobbies. Reading is a wonderful hobby that can expand your knowledge, improve your imagination, and enhance your understanding of different cultures and ideas. Having a small group of friends can lead to deeper, more meaningful relationships. It’s quality, not quantity that matters in friendships. Be proud of who you are and what you enjoy. Confidence in your interests can inspire others to appreciate their own unique qualities. Try not to compare yourself to others. Everyone grows and develops at their own pace, and having different interests is part of what makes the world interesting. Consider joining a book club or literary group where you can meet people who share your passion for reading. It’s great that you recognize and embrace your interests. Your love for reading and your close friendships are valuable and important. Being true to yourself is one of the most important things you can do.

Real Friends Last Forever https://theteenagertoday.com/real-friends-last-forever/ Wed, 07 Aug 2024 09:58:10 +0000 https://theteenagertoday.com/?p=29154 A real friend is the one who walks in when the rest of the world walks out. They are the ones who understand us profoundly.

We are social animals and therefore we need somebody faithful to share our joys and sorrows with. Having a best friend is one of the best gifts you can receive from God. God could not be present everywhere and therefore He made us potent to make a relationship like friendship.

We all need friends with whom we can share our happiness, sadness and other important aspects of life. Sharing our insecurities with friends gives us mental peace and a feeling of protection.

The noble idea of honouring friends has really caught on with youth, and Friendship Day is celebrated joyously, especially by students. Friendship Day is celebrated on the first Sunday of August. This year, it will be celebrated on August 4th.

The American essayist and poet, Ralph Waldo Emerson, said: “The glory of friendship is not the outstretched hand, not the kindly smile, nor the joy of companionship; it is the spiritual inspiration that comes to one when you discover that someone else believes in you and is willing to trust you with a friendship.”

A real friend is the one who walks in when the rest of the world walks out. They are the ones who understand us profoundly and remain with us for as long as we live. They do not need you to change; they accept you the way you are and listen to you whenever you need them. Your friend is the only person who does not feel jealous for your success and keeps motivating you for as long as you need them. This is the positive relation that brings forth in your life the zeal to be uniquely you. And this is what makes it worth celebrating this really significant day of Friendship Day.

If you’re looking for a movie that will have you laughing until you’re doubled over, then Madgaon Express, directed by Kunal Khemu, is a must-watch!

Three childhood friends, Dodo, Pinku, and Ayush, set out for a fun-filled vacation to Goa, only to find themselves entangled in chaos when they mistakenly switch bags with a dangerous drug dealer. From encounters with eccentric gangsters to navigating police pursuits, the trio goes through a series of hilarious predicaments, showcasing their camaraderie amidst the madness.

Divyenndu’s portrayal of Dodo adds levity with his comedic timing, complemented by Pratik Gandhi and Avinash Tiwary’s charismatic performances as Pinku and Ayush, respectively. The writing delivers punchy humour while the direction keeps the pace brisk, ensuring non-stop entertainment.

In shadows cast by setting suns,
A tale of bonds, where friendship runs.
Through highs and lows, a steady guide,
In heart’s embrace, forever side by side.

A symphony of laughter shared,
In whispered secrets, deeply cared.
Through stormy weather or sunny day,
True friends stand strong, come what may.

With words unspoken, understanding flows,
A silent language, only true friends know.
In joy and sorrow, hand in hand,
A friendship built on love, eternally grand.

You turned my darkness into light;
You made everything alright.
You picked me up when I was down;
You turned my life around.
If I didn’t have you, what would I be?
A blessing is what you are to me.

When I needed you the most,
You were there;
Even if it seemed like you didn’t care.
When I didn’t think
I could make it another day,
You chased all my doubts away.
If I didn’t have you, what would I be?
A treasure is what you are to me.

The world is full of many people, it’s true;
But there is only one of you.
You fill my heart with love;
You’re a god-sent gift from above,
If I didn’t have you, what would I be?
An angel is what you are to me.

Lost and alone, I will no longer be;
Because you are here with me.
There is no reason to be sad;
You’ve taken away all the bad.
If I didn’t have you, what would I be?
A best friend is what you are to me!

In the dance of life, a cherished bond,
Friendship’s melody, forever fond.
Through joys and tears, hand in hand,
In the garden of trust, they firmly stand.

Through trials and triumphs, side by side,
With unwavering support, we stride.
In the canvas of life, colours blend
The guiding light, like a shining star.

Through distance and time, our souls align,
Bound by friendship’s sacred sign.
In the tapestry of memories, woven strong,
Forever enduring wherever we belong.

Two businessmen dressed in suits with a homeless man who is dropping a coin into one of the businessmen's coffee cup

Characters
Rich man – Mark
Assistant – George
Homeless man – Henry
Cleaner – Jonathan
Officer 1
Officer 2
Office Staff

SCENE I

(Mark is standing and drinking coffee with his assistant standing next to him. Henry, a homeless man, passes by with some old tattered bags. He is wearing torn clothes and broken shoes. As he passes by, he drops a coin into Mark’s coffee.)

Henry: “Here take this!”

Mark (angry): “What nonsense is this?! What do you think you are doing?”

Henry: “Why? Is it less? Here take another!” (He puts another coin in Mark’s coffee while Mark gets furious)

Mark: “Are you out of your mind?”

Henry: “This is to remind you of your selfishness. You are stinking rich, but you never ever thought of helping me out. You never gave me even a small coin. How mean and selfish you rich are! You never think of the poor, only of yourselves and how you can get richer. If I were in your place, I would have always helped the poor.”

Mark (looking at his assistant): “George, stop him. He has opened my eyes. I need to help him.”

(George grabs Henry by the hand and pulls him towards Mark.)

Henry (frightened): “I…I…am sorry. I am really sorry. I think I spoke a bit too much. Please don’t punish me. I won’t speak like this, ever again.”

Mark: “Cool down, man! You have taught me an important lesson. As you said, I was selfish and mean. You have indeed opened my eyes. I will help you now.”

(Henry is all frightened and confused as he is dragged along.)
