I’m interested in fashion technology

I am a Std XI (Science) student interested in fashion technology. Is clearing IIT essential to get a good job after B.FTech. (Bachelors in Fashion Technology)?

The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) (nift.ac.in) is a premier institute of design, management and technology. It offers four year B.FTech. at its following centres: Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Gandhinagar, Hyderabad, Jodhpur, Kangra, Kannur, Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi and Patna. Note that IITs do not offer a course in Fashion Technology.

Eligibility is 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Admission is through an entrance exam which is usually held in February. Online registration happens during the months of November-December.  You have an option for Paper Based Test (PBT) or Computer Based Test (CBT).

This test comprises of various sections like Quantitative Ability; Communication Ability and English Comprehension; Analytical and Logical Ability; General Knowledge and Current Affairs and case study. Shortlisted candidates from the written entrance examination are required to undergo Situation Test/Group Discussion (GD)/Interview.
