Inside Out 2 brilliantly expands on its predecessor, delving into Riley’s turbulent teenage years. Directed by Kelsey Mann, the film reintroduces familiar emotions alongside new ones, dealing with the complexities of growing up.

Riley, the central character, is now a teenager navigating the complexities of adolescence. As she faces puberty and transitions to high school, her emotions are thrown into turmoil. The arrival of new emotions challenges the established harmony among her existing emotions.

This sequel captures the essence of emotional complexity, making it relatable to both younger and older viewers. The animation is superb, and the voice acting remains exceptional.

Inside Out 2 is a beautifully-crafted, emotionally-rich film that continues to set a high standard for animated storytelling. I highly recommend watching the original Inside Out before diving into this sequel to fully appreciate the continuity and character development.

The song implies that the lessons learned and the healing experienced in this relationship will not be forgotten and passed on to future generations, fostering growth and understanding. The song captures the bittersweet essence of love, forgiveness, and the unpredictable nature of what comes next.”

I am interested in art and sketching, and I want to choose animation as my career. But I am confused as to how to go about it. Please help me in choosing the best path.

An animator brings a character or an item to life. They are focused on the design, drawing, layout, and production of graphically rich and appealing multimedia clips.

To pursue a career as an animator, you must be good at drawing and sketching. Only having an interest won’t work. Start sketching; it’ll help. A strong interest in computers, patience, hard labour, and attention to your task are also required for this field. After 10+2 (any stream), go for a Bachelor’s in Fine Arts (BFA), a three-year course. You may also go for a diploma course, which usually lasts for 6 months to 2 years.

Animators breathe life into simple drawings. They are involved in everything from traditional cartooning to high-tech digital and web animation.

While 2D animation generates two-dimensional characters like what we see on Cartoon Network, 3D animation make real and life-like features for characters. Animation can also be used to produce entertainment such as movies or video games, as well as in practical applications such as industrial design and scientific research.

To become an animator, it is necessary to have a formal training in Fine Arts / Applied Art / Commercial Art / Graphic Design / Animation Design / Visual Communication Design. Many institutes and polytechnics all over the country offer these courses. While polytechnics offer such courses to 10th pass students, other institutes may require students to clear 10+2 first.

A strong portfolio (a collection of the artist’s best work) is the best way to enter the profession. Knowledge of computer packages like PageMaker, CorelDraw, PhotoShop, is a requirement for all animators today.

Some of the institutes offering such courses are: Arena Animation Academy Centres all over India (arena-animation.net), C-DAC’s National Multimedia Resource Centre, Pune (cdac.in); Guwahati (iitg.ernet.in) for B. Des. (Bachelors in Design), National Institute of Design (NID), Ahmedabad (nid.edu), Toonz Animation India (TAI), Trivandrum (toonz.co); Xavier’s Institute of Communications, Mumbai (xaviercomm.org) has a 9-month diploma in animation, ZED Institute of Creative Arts at various places (zica.org).
