Love for books

When you are a 16-year-old teenager and wondering why you exist, books give you what is needed the most — hope. The smell of books, their white pages filled with characters and stories gives me a sense of happiness. The ideas in the books make me feel curious about the world. Every time I read I dive into an ocean of curiosity, where there is no limit to my imagination. I love to “talk” to authors. Sometimes, it feels like I am having a cup of tea with the author and I am listening to his/her life, ideas, and imaginative world. In books, I have a friendly neighbourhood of intellectuals, travellers, explorers, and writers; they all live on my wooden bookshelf!

When I was alone, books gave me that peace which I wanted the most. I save my pocket money so that I can buy “just one more book”; book lovers love to get lost in bookstores. It is an amazing feeling when you feel lost, depressed, sad, just pick up a book which you love the most. It will change your mood in an instant. Ideas and stories which inspire you — talk about them with your friends. Lessons taught by great leaders, lives lived by great personalities are within your reach.

Don’t wait to pick up a book that you love. Books are my best friends, they make me happy, they inspire me, they teach me, they make me sad sometimes, but they don’t leave me!
