A scar runs down her face,
Blood trickling down the space.
The wound might be new, but the fight is old,
Was this how her story was supposed to unfold?
She used to be giddy, she used to be gay,
Glowed with hope and passion, her heart was bright as a day in May.
She was strong but now she’s just so frail,
Never knew how to quit, but now she no longer wants to play.
To concede defeat seems so alluring,
A peaceful bliss that would end all the suffering.
The urge is overwhelming, to give up all,
But something inside of her doesn’t let her make the call.
It’s the voice, telling her she was born to be great,
She was brave and she alone had the power to decide her fate.
Wiping away the blood, she got to her feet,
All the challenges, with a venturous smile she’ll meet.
She will fight, she won’t take flight,
She will strive, she will survive.
The fight is old, the fight is onerous,
But it is still hers.
Courageous, confident, capable — nothing will she fear.
And the world will know
For the queen is here.

Her beauty https://theteenagertoday.com/her-beauty/ Mon, 17 May 2021 05:00:46 +0000 http://theteenagertoday.com/?p=19978 They don’t see her heart,
They just see her face.
She always does her part,
Without any disgrace.

They don’t see her heart,
They just see her face.
She always does her part,
Without any disgrace.

She is like a dewdrop on a leaf,
Dancing lightly by the edges of time.
No corals, no reef,
But an ocean full of pain.

Can you see her tears?
Can you see her pain?
She hides her fears,
Just like tears in the rain.

They fail to see how beautiful she is,
They judge her by her face.
Her feelings are what they miss,
And what lies in her heart is a different case.

In this fake world where everything lasts for a while;
Where others put on make-up,
She puts on a beautiful smile.

Sometimes beauty lies deep in the eyes,
But in this world full of lies,
Beauty is defined by the length of your skirt
And words kill more than they hurt.

Still waters run deep,
You might find beauty where you never thought it to be.
Sometimes her tears flow in the form of ink,
And words search for ears more than lips…

She https://theteenagertoday.com/she-2/ Mon, 01 Feb 2021 10:48:59 +0000 http://theteenagertoday.com/?p=19014 She is soft,
Innocent and
She is beautiful.
She is loyal,
She is worthy,
She is like a fairy.

She is soft,
Innocent and
She is beautiful.
She is loyal,
She is worthy,
She is like a fairy.
She is strong and
Courageous to the end.
She will fight back,
And she will win,
Herself back.
You break her,
You tear her apart.
She has no regrets,
She loves herself.
She will come back at you,
She is a storm.
And you have been warned.

She says she is fearless.
Is she really?
Deep down she has an ongoing battle
With her fears.
She never lost someone close
So, they say, you won’t understand the pain
Yes, she doesn’t
And maybe she doesn’t want to.
What if she is suffering from her own loss,
But only in a different way?
They want her to behave in a certain manner
Even suffer in a certain way,
They tell her to stay within the boundaries
She could stay, only if she knew how to.
The more they force her,
The more power she feels within her, to step out.
They say she’s worthless but
She’s glad that she knows her worth
And knows that her smile is enough
To make it through the day…
When she goes to bed and
Sees the moonlight filling her room,
And as each wave of the cool breeze
Touches her face and passes through her
She feels satisfied with herself, that
She knows how to live and smile
And she is thankful for that
And always will be…

Blessed the woman
Who stands on her own two feet.
A special soul
Who fights for her beliefs;
Going against society’s idols.

May we be unique spirits
Flowing with our truth,
Healing our world.

May we inspire,
Protect our sisterhood.
I am a creation of you.
I am nothing on my own.

We are all connected by a thread
Of life-giving force;
God’s army of warriors.
Shine, my sister,
Be fearless!

The woman https://theteenagertoday.com/the-woman/ Fri, 22 Feb 2019 08:32:39 +0000 http://theteenagertoday.com/?p=12837 She fought and made them realize her worth, Her eyes burning like fire above the hearth.

‌As a spectator I observed
As she fought for the rights she deserved.

‌Every man who thought he was better than her
Would crumple to his feet begging to let go.
But as he saw what she could do,
He would kneel down and bow.

She fought and made them realize her worth
Her eyes burning like fire above the hearth.

Her every action turned eyes and soon she was an icon
Women aspired to be like her while men feared her wrath.
She was like the light,
Which attracted all moths.

‌She continued to show the world what she could do.
She had become the lion of her big zoo.

When she knocked the door asking for justice,
She was taken seriously for once.
Her influence was too big to deny
It had spread within the mass of tons.

As a spectator I smiled when she reached her goal
I was happy that she was burning with triumph like coal.

On life’s harsh roads,
She wobbled and she slipped.
But she never fell.
And that made her a Warrior!

She got roses with thorns.
She got apples with worms.
But she never refused.
And that made her a Warrior!

At times, she was torn and sad.
She got cuts and she bled.
But she was never afraid.
And that made her a Warrior!

There was no love.
There was no sympathy.
But she survived everything with dignity.
And that made her a Warrior!

She was not a born Warrior.
Life made her.
