Beautiful, yet so strange,
Calm, but like an outrage
The rule is easy,
It’s never what you see,
The law goes on,
As the melody flows on,
It isn’t what you touched,
But it touched you,
It isn’t what you took to own,
But it took you as its own,
It’s there always, for everyone, when one truly feels,
And so worry not, and doubt never,
Whenever someone says “music heals”.

Distance

Distant by sea, but united by sky,
We are the same, for we laugh and cry.
No one in this world ever thought it to be,
But we are all the same, I see.
We all lie and conceal,
To hide when we hurt and bleed.
We all laugh and say “I am fine”,
We show ourselves to be on cloud nine.
But examining our hearts under the microscope of emotion,
“We are fine” was unreal, is the conclusion.
We all smile to fill that hole,
The hollow signifying a broken heart and wounded soul.

Welcome

The only thing that is permanent
Is impermanence, I’ve learnt…
You only run
To fall, and get hurt…
Everything falls apart for a moment or two…
You feel sad about being ‘you’.
Sometimes you really want to start anew,
And sometimes you wish for everything to end.
I say that’s a ‘welcome’ to life, my friend.
